Somaliland: VP Attends the Graduation Ceremony of Police Officers in the Mandhera Lixle Military Academy.

The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland concludes training for the 33rd batch of 700 police officers from Mandhera Lixle Academy.

The graduation ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including the Minister of Interior along with several commanders from the Police Force, the Coast Guard and the Immigration Department.

Speaking at the event, the Commander of the Somaliland Police Force, Brigadier General Mohamed Aden Saqadhi (Daba-Gale) said that this batch is a group of young professionals who are proficient in the law. He further went on “This group is full of young men who are not addicted to drugs, and even those youngest of them are high school graduates. They are all well versed with the duties of their country and their people and I congratulate them on coming out to us.”

The Minister of Interior of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Mohamed Kaahin Ahmed, who also addressed the gathering, welcomed the young scholars who have joined the Police Force of the Republic of Somaliland. Addressing at the event, Hon. Kahin said, “Today, you have been fully educated and I urge you to be patient because you are the police and you will get accused and insulted a lot by the thieves you arrest and those you investigate for other crimes.”

To sum up, the Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail (Saylici) highly commended the newly recruited officers and urged them to bring justice and abide by the law. In other words, since you are the ones who are taking over the reins of the country, you are required to maintain the unity and solidarity of the country.
