His Excellency, President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi inaugurated the new National Museum building, a long-held vision aimed at preserving and showcasing Somaliland’s cultural heritage. The museum will serve as a center for education and cultural exchange, bolstering national pride and attracting visitors.
A dedication ceremony brought together poets, leaders, and politicians who highlighted the museum’s role in preserving Somaliland’s history. The Director-General of the Presidency, Mr. Mohamed Ali Bile, detailed the museum’s development stages, emphasizing its importance as a national institution.
Poet Muse Ali-Faroor and writer Abdirahman Yusuf Cartan expressed gratitude and welcomed the museum’s construction. Chairman Faisal Ali Warabe and envoy Edna Aden Ismail praised the museum as pivotal for historical preservation.
President Bihi Abdi underscored the museum’s significance as a community resource and a repository of national heritage. The Somaliland Museum Center, comprising two buildings, stands as a modern facility dedicated to education and cultural enrichment, symbolizing the nation’s commitment to its heritage.
