Presidential Decree: 01/08/2021
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi has issued a Presidential Decree No. Lr. 12/082021 approved at the convening of the new House of Representatives today.
We set out the Presidential Decree as follows:-

Convening of the new House of Representatives
Having Seen: Article 44, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland which stipulates that the President of the Republic of Somaliland convene the first session of the new House of Representatives;
Having Seen: The Supreme Court Resolution MS/GDD/28/2021, dated 07/07/2021, for the purpose of approving the results of the elections to the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland;
Having Considered: The importance of the first sitting of the House of Representatives, to take the oath of office and to elect from themselves the Speaker of the House of Representatives, in accordance with Clause 3 of Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;
I Decided;
That the first session of the newly elected House of Representatives be held on Tuesday 03/08/2021, at 09:00 AM. The meeting will be held at the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland.
