The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), has issued a decree implementing a salary increment for the Armed Forces as part of his administration’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of the nation’s security personnel.
Key Provisions of the Decree
- Salary Adjustment:
Effective 2025, the salaries of the Armed Forces will be increased to reflect the critical role they play in maintaining national security and stability. - Annual Increment:
A 50% annual salary increase will be applied during the first term of the administration, using the 2024 salary structure as a baseline. - Biometric Registration:
To ensure transparency and accountability, all members of the Armed Forces will undergo IRIS Biometric Registration starting February 1, 2025, to be completed within 30 days. - Implementation:
The salary adjustments will take effect following the completion of the biometric registration and personnel census.
