Somaliland: President Inaugurates 4th National Employment Conference

His Excellency, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), today officially launched the Fourth National Conference on Employment and Job Creation, hosted by the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs, and Family.

The high-profile event gathered key figures from across the government, including members of the Cabinet, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, the Governor of Maroodi-Jeeh, as well as representatives from major universities, leading businesses, and other prominent guests. This conference aims to address critical challenges and explore innovative solutions to improve employment and workforce development in Somaliland.

In her address, the Minister of Employment, Social Affairs, and Family, Hon. Milgo Mohamed Sanbalooshe, highlighted the significance of this platform in uniting a diverse group of experts and stakeholders. The focus is on discussing actionable strategies for fostering job creation and equipping youth with essential skills and information about employment opportunities in the market.

President Abdirahman Irro, in his remarks, reaffirmed his government’s firm commitment to creating equitable job opportunities for all citizens, with a particular emphasis on empowering the youth. He stressed that building a robust, inclusive labor market remains a top priority for the administration, which aims to provide a foundation for sustainable economic growth and national development.
