Official Launch of the Biometric Registration System for National Security Forces

Today, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), President of the Republic of Somaliland, officially launched the Biometric Registration System for the National Security Forces at the Somaliland Police Headquarters. 

This initiative represents a pivotal step in our ongoing commitment to modernizing and enhancing the efficiency of our security institutions.

The biometric registration system is the cornerstone of a comprehensive reform agenda designed to upgrade the operational capabilities and accountability of our national security forces. It will facilitate accurate record-keeping, streamline service delivery, and ensure the welfare and rights of our dedicated personnel.

President Irro stated, “Our national forces are the foundation of our security and stability. This initiative is a vital first step toward building a more professional and responsive security apparatus that is fully equipped to defend our nation’s sovereignty and protect our citizens.”

The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, military commanders, and technical experts entrusted with implementing this transformative project.
