The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Cirro, has commenced his first official international visit since assuming office, at the invitation of the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). To mark the occasion, the UAE extended a distinguished welcome by dispatching a private Royal Jet for the President and his delegation.
Accompanying the President on this historic visit is a high-level delegation comprising the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of the Presidency, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, the Director of Intelligence, the Senior Economic Advisor to the President, the Chief of Staff, and other senior officials. Joining the delegation is the First Lady of Somaliland, Farduus Mohamed Rooble, who plays a key role in representing the nation.
The three-day visit will include strategic discussions with senior UAE leaders aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and fostering deeper cooperation in areas of mutual interest. These talks will underscore the shared aspirations of both nations and their commitment to regional and global progress.
Additionally, the President is scheduled to engage with the vibrant Somaliland diaspora community in the UAE. The meeting will provide a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing national updates, and addressing the concerns of Somalilanders living abroad.
This milestone visit not only highlights Somaliland’s growing diplomatic engagement on the international stage but also reinforces its dedication to advancing national priorities through meaningful global partnerships.
