His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), President of the Republic of Somaliland, continues his official working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on its second day.
As part of his diplomatic engagements, President Irro held a high-level meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The President also met with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court of the UAE.
During these discussions, President Irro expressed his profound gratitude to the UAE government for the official invitation and warm hospitality extended to him. He commended the UAE’s commitment to fostering strong diplomatic and economic ties and reaffirmed Somaliland’s readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The talks focused on key areas of mutual interest, including:
- Economic and trade collaboration, with an emphasis on investment opportunities.
- Infrastructure development and Somaliland’s strategic role in regional trade.
- Security cooperation, particularly in ensuring stability in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
The Republic of Somaliland remains dedicated to deepening its partnership with the United Arab Emirates to advance shared economic and security objectives for the benefit of both nations.
