The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, held an extensive meeting at the presidential palace in Burao. The discussion, which lasted several hours, focused on the challenges facing the Togdheer region and the importance of social cohesion as the country prepares for upcoming elections. The meeting was attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers, regional and district administrations, MPs, leaders of the Kulmiye Party, politicians, academics, youth, women, and intellectuals from the Togdheer region.
Continuing his visit to Burao this morning, President Muse Bihi Abdi, accompanied by his delegation, inspected, inaugurated, and laid foundation stones for various development projects in the city. He began his day by receiving a report from Sakariye Mohamed Ismail (Lumumbe), the Manager of the Burao Water Agency, at the agency’s headquarters. The president praised the Water Agency and the Ministry of Water Resources Development for their exceptional contributions to the nation.
The President also inaugurated a new building for the Ministry of Cultural Information and Awareness in the Togdheer region, taking time to inspect the new offices. Additionally, he visited Burao Hospital, where he checked on patients, offering prayers for their recovery and well-being.
The president’s visit concluded with a warm welcome at the second headquarters of the ruling Kulmiye Party in Burao.
