The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, attended a grand ceremony celebrating the graduation of 214 students, the 13th cohort from the Somaliland Civil Service Institute.
The event was attended by cabinet members, politicians, the leadership of the Civil Service Institute, distinguished guests, the graduating students, and their parents.
The Executive Director of the Civil Service Institute, Mr. Omar Iid Qalombi, opened the ceremony with a detailed speech outlining the institute’s journey and how it has become a symbol of emerging young talent equipped with the knowledge to contribute meaningfully.
Following him, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mr. Khalif Jama Qodax, the Chairman of the Hillaac Political Association, Prof. Ahmed Ismail Samatar, the Chairman of the Higher Education Committee, Prof. Saleeban Dirir Abdi, and the former Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mr. Abdirahman Adami, all gave speeches. They congratulated the graduates and urged them to continue their education and take full advantage of available opportunities.
The Minister of Education and Higher Studies, Dr. Ahmed Adan Buuxane, also extended his congratulations and encouraged the graduates to dedicate themselves to the development of their country.
In a brief address, President Muse Bihi Abdi congratulated the graduates, their families, and their teachers for their efforts. He encouraged the graduates to use their education to serve their communities and work towards the advancement of their country and people.
To conclude the ceremony, President Muse Bihi Abdi presented certificates to the top students from the various departments of the Civil Service Institute.
