The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi last night hosted a dinner for international guests at the presidential palace. The dinner was held in honor of guests who are participating in the 16th Hargeisa International Book Fair, which opened on Saturday morning.
The Hargeisa International Book Fair is a major event in the Somaliland calendar that attracts visitors from all over the world. It is a celebration of literature, culture, and education, and it is a testament to the progress that Somaliland has made in recent years.
Dr. Jama Musse Jama, Director of Hargeisa Cultural Center, highlighted the importance of young people to the fair, which has become an interactive place to showcase the value of reading and writing. He also thanked the president for welcoming the international guests.
Prof. Lumumba, one of the foremost activists for the development of the African continent, praised the president’s invitation to the guests.
President Bihi Abdi concluded the dinner meeting by praising the international guests for deciding to be a part of the book fair.
