The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi, along with a delegation he led, arrived in the district of Sabawanaag, south of the capital Hargeisa. They were warmly welcomed by various sections of the community, led by traditional leaders, politicians, prominent figures, women, and youth.

The people of Sabawanaag, dressed in the flag of the Republic of Somaliland, holding fresh green branches, and displaying symbols of the KULMIYE party, greeted the president and his delegation on the outskirts of the district. They escorted them to a public venue prepared for the president’s address to the community.

Local leaders, parliamentarians, politicians, and other prominent figures speaking at the event expressed their strong support for the president and his delegation. They clearly stated that the people of Sabawanaag fully back the KULMIYE party and its supporters, acknowledging the significant work the government has done for the district and surrounding areas.

The Ministers of Livestock, Mr. Siciid Sulub Maxamed, and Health Development, Mr. Xasan Maxamed Cali (Gaafaadhi), along with the second deputy chairman of the KULMIYE party, Mr. Axmed Cabdi Xuseen (Axmed Cabdi-dheere), delivered speeches at the welcoming ceremony, highlighting the extensive development projects implemented by the KULMIYE government in Sabawanaag. They called on the community to reward KULMIYE with their votes.

In his speech to the people of Sabawanaag, President Muse Bihi Abdi sincerely thanked them for their warm reception and emphasized the rich history of the district and its people, as well as their unforgettable role in the peacebuilding and establishment of the Republic of Somaliland.

President Muse Bihi Abdi also criticized the opposition party, WADDANI, accusing them of still harboring the treasonous actions of former Speaker of the House, Cabdirisaaq Khaliif Axmed. Although WADDANI had elevated him to the third most powerful position in the country, it was later revealed that he never believed in Somaliland’s sovereignty. To this day, WADDANI’s leadership has not distanced themselves from his betrayal.

On the other hand, President Muse Bihi Abdi also inaugurated a large water reservoir constructed by the government on the outskirts of Bandar-wanaag, a project that has greatly benefited the local community and their livestock.
