President Inspects Courts, Attends Ribbon-cutting Ceremony at the Supreme Court

In an unprecedented working tour, the incumbent president of the republic of Somaliland H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi paid a visit to the supreme, appeal, regional and district courts. On his working tour, the president also visited the office of the Attorney General.

 

Accompanied by members of his cabinet ministers, the president was welcomed by the chief justice of Somaliland Adam Haji Ali Ahmed. Mr Adan briefed the president for the ongoing tasks of the Supreme Court and the status of the justice system of Somaliland in general.

 

Addressing the audiences, notably the judicial body, the president lauded the judiciary system of Somaliland and urged the judges to continue their commitment and service to their nation. “We believe that judiciary is the ultimate key to upholding the Rule of Law. I urge the judicial body to continue the fabulous cooperation and togetherness to deliver better judiciary system and service to the people of Somaliland,” said the president.

 

Similarly, president Bihi cut the ribbon on a new state-of-the-art building for the Supreme Court. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the president praised Ambassador David Concar and the United Kingdom for their tireless contributions to Somaliland.
