The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, recently held a farewell meeting with the departing Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, Catriona Laing.
During the meeting, President Bihi expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Laing for their collaboration and the significant initiatives undertaken between the United Nations and Somaliland during her tenure. In response, Laing conveyed her appreciation to the President for the cooperative approach of his administration and the productive partnership they shared.
Accompanying the President was the Acting Minister, Hon. Rooda Jama Ilmi, who currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The delegation also included various officials from the United Nations, such as Nikolai Rogosaroff, Katherine Brooks, Ahmed Qalinle, Mustafe Khayre, and Dahir Mohamed, in addition to the head of the Hargeisa office.
