The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, today received at the Presidential Palace the Minister of State for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Mr. Redwan Hussein accompanied by Ethiopian Ambassador to Somaliland, Ambassador Said Mohamed Jibril and officials accompanying the Minister of State.
During the meeting, they discussed how to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, Republic of Somaliland and the Federal Government of Ethiopia, issues related to bilateral trade and development cooperation on the Berbera corridor and the use of the Berbera Port. The Minister of State expressed how Ethiopia is in dire need of various ports and they are giving special importance to the port of Berbera. Thus, they decided it was time to finish up the previous agreements between the two governments and their implementation in the interests of both the people and the two countries.
