His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, today inspected the headquarters of the Somaliland National Army.
Upon arrival, the President was welcomed and briefed on national security issues by the Minister of Defence, Abdiqani Mohamud Aateeye along with various Commanders of the National Army including Major General Nuh Ismail Tani and Brigadier General Abdirisaq Saeed. Minister Ateeye noted that Somaliland Armed Forces are equipped with the intelligence, weapons, training, and support they need to protect our nation and citizens from all threats.
Afterwards, President Bihi commended the Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication to supporting and defending Las Anod from armed militias and terrorists seeking to destabilize Somaliland. The President also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the media and the medical community for their support to the Armed Forces.
The President also inspected several other bases including that of the Police Force and Air Force of the Republic of Somaliland.
Finally, President Bihi called on the various forces of the Republic of Somaliland and urged them to redouble their efforts in eliminating and exposing any ideology, actions, or influences that seek to destabilize our country.
